Though this class was very technical and at times frustrating - it's amazing the extensive knowledge gained in the short amount of time in the class. These skills are what I constantly see many employers looking for in their potential employees: "Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferable" "Knowledge of Microsoft Office a plus", and now after seeing how useful they each can be, I understand why knowledge of these programs would be so sought-after - in the business world AND the personal. Looking back, my view of MS Word has changed from a simple program to write reports, to a complex and multi-use tool for creating and sending news letters or mass letters to customized lists of numerous clients. My idea of MS Excel grew from seeing a bunch of lines and grids that are supposed to help people add up their bills - to a useful program that allows people to create specific formulas for figuring out constantly changing numbers and rates on things like car payments, house payments, business profits, ect. complete with bar graphs, pie charts, and other visual aids for helping understanding. Overall a great class for me to refer back to the base it helped me lay of knowledge in Microsoft Office.
